Overview

Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking a Patient Access Team Lead to join our innovative team with the mission of Fighting Blindness For The World To See. This position will be responsible for supporting teams in our North region (The Woodlands, Peakwood, Northwest/Cypress, Memorial, Kingwood, Brenham, Livingston, and Lufkin) as they execute patient care. The team lead will train, coach, and step in where needed to maintain patient flow and support to the team.

 

Candidates must be able to travel to various clinics to meet the needs of the patients and providers, and support the Clinic hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm. Schedules are provided weekly and are based on the provider's clinic, patient and surgery schedules.

Pay Rate is $21.00+ per hour and eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Traveling required between all clinics within assigned region
  • Lead Support for all clinics within assigned region
  • Communicate effectively with management on any internal concerns
  • Manage Bank Reconciliation daily and recover missing documentation
  • Train all new hires and communicate with upper management
  • Evaluate current employees to schedule training sessions
  • Manage monthly payment plans and payment assurance in Phreesia
  • Manage daily work schedules to ensure coverage
  • Review timecards at the end of every pay period for Patient Access Manager to approve
  • Post daily batches in NextGen
  • Review all treatments estimate forms and relay discrepancies to clinical team
  • Other duties that as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of Front Desk/Patient Access Coordinator experience

Physical Abilities:

  • Sedentary position with occasional movement throughout the clinic
  • Working on the computer for majority of shift
  • Must be able to type
  • Must be able to communicate via any communication channel

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Computer skills with ability to navigate multiple programs, typing, proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Have working knowledge of insurance terminology
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
