Overview

Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking a Clinical Research Referal Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for pre-screening and contacting referred patients for ongoing clinical trials to ensure patients are fully informed of any treatment options available for their disease. Day-to-day activities may include all or some of the essential functions listed below, depending upon individual experience / knowledge and the needs of the organization which are subject to change from time to time.

 

Candidate must be able to work shift anytime between 8:00am-5:00pm. This is a hybrid position and will report to our Business Office on Post Oak.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain referral lists for recruitment in Real-time CTMS
  • Creating and managing the recruitment status in Real Time CTMS and MDI or site EMR during the referral process.
  • Calling and speaking with potential subjects in-depth about the clinical trial that they were referred to within the timeframe outlined by the protocol/practice.
  • Ensuring all communication notes are documented and up to date within Real Time CTMS and available to the study coordinator and study team.
  • Assist in the implementation of strategies to achieve subject recruitment goals
  • Provide continued support to staff in carrying out their daily functions
  • Execute other duties as may be required by the Research Director or Referral Supervisory as training and experience allows.
  • Prescreening of all assigned referrals
  • Well-Versed in research protocols and informed consent
  • Develop a screen flow for research referrals for the site to execute
  • Oversee referrals in HIVE research app and enter into CTMS

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma of Equivalent
  • At least one year working in Retina, preferably in a research setting
  • Bilingual Candidates are encouraged to apply
